Dan started his career with the Internal Revenue Service as a revenue agent. He ended his career with IRS as a large-case team coordinator, leading audit teams of large, often multi-national, corporations. After a year of venturing as an independent business broker, Dan worked as a tax manager at a local CPA firm, developing tax planning strategies for clients. Dan devoted the next 22 years as a CFO to two large very successful trucking companies - leading one of them from a start-up to over $225 million in revenue. Dan stepped out of the CFO role for 3 1/2 years and directed the company's logistic division to over 350% profitability growth.
Dan graduated with an accounting degree from Ohio University in 1986. He furthered his education by completing his MBA from Ball State University in 1996. He has also instructed classes at local colleges in accounting, tax, finance, and economics.
Dan and his wife, Monica, have a large blended family - 9 children. Dan is a father to 3 (2 of which are also CPAs and one very successful tattoo artist). Dan is also "Pappy" to 6 grandkids. Dan loves football (Ohio State), traveling, movies, going to church and spending time with his family and friends. Dan's mantra is "Move the Sticks". Try to improve yourself every day.
